It's all about the journey, not the destination. We encourage students to hone their craft, connect to their peers,
and explore their creative self through theatre arts.

(Entrance is behind the building in the Boulanger Plaza parking lot!)

ACTING LAB
Acting lab for adults is open to all levels and is formatted to be deeply student-centered. The structure and material for this class will be determined based on the needs and interests of the group. Topics may include scene study, monologue work, vocal and physical warmups, and acting exercises from techniques such as Stanislavski, Meisner, Grotowski, and Chekhov. From day one, we will focus on cultivating an ensemble environment to work toward creating a brave, generative, and playful working space. We will discuss how to give useful and compassionate feedback in a class setting, and students will be encouraged to share material within the group. This class is rooted in collaboration and community to activate an enormous sense of play and creativity while using conventional acting techniques. At every level, students will learn and revisit concrete tools that they will be able to take into their practice. Join us! Taught by Julia Schonberg

Mindfulness for Creatives
with Joy Solomon
In this special session, Joy Solomon will lead us through breathwork, somatic scanning, and heart-based practices - all easy to learn tools that can be part of your training repertoire. There will be an opportunity for practice, questions, and feedback.
Mindfulness is a practice that trains attention on our moment to moment experience, without
judgment. In addition to current scientific research demonstrating the numerous brain and
health benefits of mindfulness, much has been written about the increase in self-compassion
and empathy in practitioners. Artists, creatives, and EVERYONE can boost their performance
using mindfulness exercises and techniques.
Joy Solomon is a certified mindfulness meditation teacher and coach. She is passionate about
sharing this “ancient wisdom meets modern neuroscience” to a wide range of professionals,
including NBA referees, therapists, C-suite leaders, and has held a meditation circle for over a
decade in Hastings. You can find out more about her at mindfulnesswithjoy.com.

Next date will be announced soon.

Testimonial from Anna Adler, Adult Acting Lab Student
My daughter went to Page to Stage camp and it was AWESOME! A highlight of the summer. My daughter had never really done any theater before, and she loved it so much. Such an incredible program. Highly recommended!

My son had a wonderful time in the summer Page-to-Stage program. He can be shy and did not know most of the kids, but the instructors created a really inclusive environment where all kinds of kids can shine and enjoy acting and putting together a production in a joyful, non-stressful way in the course of just 5 days!
